Austen and Sage’s Lake Lanier Elopement| Georgia Elopement Photographer

This Lake Lanier elopement was a dream come true! Sage and Austen were so amazing to photograph. It was 16 degrees outside but that did not stop Austen and Sage from their elopement. Who would have known that it would be this cold is Georgia? Austen and Sage are an adventurous couple that loves each other very much no matter what the situation is. Austen just got out of the Army so this was an extremely special moment for both of them.

How Austen and Sage met:

We met through fellow friends. He just got stationed at Fort Campbell and a friend that I worked with said that a guy her and her husband went to school with just got stationed here and I needed to meet him. As we both were not looking for anyone we were hesitant but figured we are just meeting a new friend. Little did we know that was not the case. After the first night I went home and told my mom I found my husband, that I was going to marry this man. Everyday after that night we were inseparable. I was a skeptic about actual true love but I learned that to not be the case it is real and I would not trade it for the world. On the evening of our proposal he took me to one of our favorite spots. It's called the Love Circle in Nashville, it looks out across the whole city. We went to watch the sunset over the skyline. He said let's get a picture so we walked to the edge and asked someone also there to take our photo. Little did I know he wasn't asking them to take a picture but to record us. He came over to me and put his arm around then got down on one knee, he explained why he loved me and knew we would forever be together and then asked me to be his wife. I started ugly crying because I was so overwhelmed with emotion! Of course the answer was yes and everyone there started clapping for us. It has been history ever since!
