Hey there! I’m Lindsay!

I am a destination portrait and travel photographer based in Fort Worth, Texas, and have been serving Texas & The East Coast since 2017. I love to travel all over the world and take photos for my amazing clients. I’m so thrilled to hear from you!

My Story

Ever since the age of 7, I always knew that I wanted to be a photographer. However, I went to Appalachian State to study graphic design because I thought I would enjoy it but honestly wasn’t satisfied. I found myself driving to Michigan during the summer of 2018 where I spent the whole summer photographing people in the Midwest and loved every minute of it. Then I came back to North Carolina to finish school and photographed every wedding I could while finishing my Design degree.  

Those few years allowed me to establish myself as a professional photographer and business owner. I was shooting every event I could get into whether that be Appalachian State football games, weddings, or MIGOS concerts, and was loving it.

But I knew I wasn’t doing exactly what I wanted to do with my life with graphic design, so I went full time with my photography business after graduating from college and never looked back.

Why Wild Onyx Photography?

 

Before my great grandmother passed she gifted me an onyx necklace. She placed it in my hand and said Lindsay this will protect you from the negativity of the world. Onyx is more than just a stone to me it is the energy that I put forth into the world. When choosing my business name I knew I wanted to use onyx to surround my business in positivity and to protect me as I grow.

North Carolina mountains, Great Lakes, trail chaser, dream maker, adventure seeker! I am constantly in the pursuit of pleasure while surrounding myself in bounties of nature, fresh air, beautiful landmarks, and beautiful free people! The wild is not a place it is my soul!

Working with Lindsay was a wonderful from beginning to end; she was super responsive, accommodating/flexible, and helpful coordinating us through the process. Of all the vendors we had, Lindsay was my favorite because she was just very easy to work with and really listened to what we wanted out of our engagement session and wedding day photos. It was very hot on our wedding day and some of the bridal party was getting tired/cranky, but her and her second shooter handled all of the family wonderfully, working as efficiently as possible and flexible with the shots. Her attention to detail, capturing all of our decorations and special moments was really appreciated. They were also SUPER sneaky, looking through our photos we definitely had no idea when she was taking ceremony photos. We love our photos and will cherish them for years to come.
